JANUARY PLANTING
The often-harsh British winter limits the gardener’s activities and only the hardiest of vegetables can be sown outside during the wintery month of January. There are some crops in this month however, that will be ready to harvest from the previous season’s planting. In general, indoor sowing is a far more viable option during this month, where soil, water and heat can be regulated.
