FEBRUARY PLANTING
February is an extension of January but with a much higher risk of frost. Frost is a gardener’s worst enemy and negatively affects crops. It may be prudent to cover certain areas of the garden with good-quality plastic if frost is prevalent. This month should be used to prepare for spring but there are some crops that will be ready to harvest from the previous season’s planting. In general, indoor sowing is a far more viable option during this month, where soil, water and heat can be regulated.
